It's crazy cause the only thing interesting about them is their connection to Diana who carried them to the top...but you all want to make the backup singers the stars...you all be lowkey hating Diana....she was skin and bones from all the pressure...to not make a mistake. How can you NOT love Lucy?

She looks older here than she did when she did SoM and in the 1970s. She changed her hairstyle completely by then so that it was short, bobbed, with a fringe framing her face. It was a much better look and softened her features. The singing is superb, obviously.

What a dumb song, but it shows how a great singer can elevate trash to treasure. I would love to have seen what Judy would have done with the Helen Lawson role. Nothing against Susan Hayward but Garland's interpretation would have been a sight to see.

I stopped watching after the 2012 Oscars gave Elizabeth Taylor a paultry 3 seconds buried in the middle of the In Memoriam segment. For the previous 40 years she WAS the Oscars. Because of her, stars borrow millions of dollars worth of jewelry when they appear. The difference is, she didn't need to borrow anything.

She's always been my favorite actress. As a woman in the 30s and 40s it was very much a man's world but she stood her ground and was determined to be taken seriously. But hard work was everything to her. Even as she aged she wanted to work. It's all she knew. And these kids that write books on their celebrity parents. You can't always believe them either. Both Bette and Joan raised their kids to work as hard as they did because nothing was going to be handed to them. They wanted them to be prepared for the real world and for this I think both their daughters rebelled.

These were talented individuals…. Actors, actresses. Could. Sing. Dance and act ….

She is the definition of a real woman.
